Hello, thank you for wanting to interview me, it’s a pleasure! To share a bit about who Jessica Sodi is… Right now I’m doing super well! I’m experiencing a moment of growth in my career as an actress, but now at a very international level.
Let’s start from the beginning: how did your career in adult entertainment begin? What inspired you to take this path?
I started through a social network where I had many followers and posted very sexy photos. I was contacted by the producer of the largest Spanish-language production company, and there I took the step of becoming an actress for a day. It was a success and, since I liked it, I continued being an actress. Today this is the result of a really rewarding career!
What were you doing before entering the adult industry? Was this something you had always wanted to explore, or did you have completely different plans for your life?
In reality, I didn’t do this in my daily life and had never thought of becoming an actress. Before, I had my own businesses and I was also a lawyer, so I was 100% dedicated to that. I have to be honest: I really like open relationships, nothing monotonous or monogamous. I believe that because of this way of thinking, I enjoyed experimenting with my sexuality. At the beginning, it was very complicated to adapt because I hadn’t sought it out, but today I love my work so much.
You’re proudly Mexican, and your Instagram bio makes it clear: “Poniendo a México en alto.” Can you tell us more about your connection with your country and what it means to you to represent Mexico?
Oh, my country! I represent it with all honor because I believe I have been a pioneer in many things, which makes me super happy because, besides being a beautiful country, it has a lot of potential. I am happy, as I say in my bio, to be ‘raising Mexico high’ because it’s the best way to say that I want to be the actress who continues to represent the country, since I felt that there was no one doing it globally. That’s why I took this task of doing it so seriously.
You’re already a true star in Mexico, and over the past year your success has crossed borders. How does it feel to represent your country on such a global stage in an industry that’s truly international?
I feel super honored, and very happy, but at the same time with a great weight on my shoulders because it’s not easy to represent a country at a global level. It takes a lot of talent, discipline, and something extraordinary to continue captivating the audience.
Do you feel that being Mexican has helped your rise in the industry, or has it come with challenges?
At the beginning, being Mexican was a challenge because, as I mentioned earlier, I was a pioneer in many things and people didn’t have confidence in me or in the fact that there could be such a recognized Mexican woman in the industry. I believe everything changed when people saw how professional I can be and that my career was on the rise.
We’ve seen you more and more in the United States lately — between award shows and new collaborations. Do you plan to work there more regularly, or even consider moving to the U.S.?
Look, as Mexicans we have always been very close to the United States! But regarding the question, I believe they will continue to see me there doing more collaborations because I have built very good working relationships and I feel very comfortable shooting there, so I personally like this a lot. Moving? I don’t know, it’s complicated, I love my country very much and at the moment I haven’t thought about it. What I can say is that I’m very happy because I’m nominated at the XBiz for the first time in a group collaboration, which surprised me a lot because I wasn’t expecting it, but I’m very positive that more beautiful things will happen in that beautiful country that always opens its doors to me.
In your opinion, what’s the secret behind your success? What do you think fans love most about you and your content?
Between my face, my body, my authenticity, and my friendliness, that’s what they’ve told me, in addition to the fact that my content, since I became independent, has been of great quality and that I’ve always surprised them with very unique collaborations that no other Latina had done before.
What qualities do you think are essential for someone who wants to succeed in the adult industry today?
I believe there are thousands of super successful girls in the industry today, but as I always say, being yourself and unique makes the difference.
