In June, during Pride Month, PornHub officially launched PornHub Sapphic, a new site dedicated to women who love women. According to PornHub’s statement, the project was created “in direct response to feedback from lesbian, queer, and straight women who asked for an experience made for them”.
Alex Kekesi, PornHub’s Brand and Community Manager, explained the philosophy behind the project: “Working with creators and users, we’ve built a space where sapphic content is featured and celebrated. For creators, Pornhub Sapphic offers new opportunities to connect with an engaged audience actively seeking their content. For viewers, it’s about providing women with a dedicated place to explore and enjoy adult entertainment with their experiences and desires in mind.”
According to PornHub’s data, women account for 38% of the platform’s global audience, and lesbian is the most-viewed category among women. PornHub Sapphic was built to offer a curated environment “for the female gaze,” which includes the absence of traditional advertising targeted at men, such as ads for male enhancement products, in favor of female-focused advertising.
The project includes partnerships with prominent sapphic creators, including the duo TheJellyFilledGirls, awarded at the XMA Creator Awards 2026 as Clip Creator Duo of the Year and at the PornHub Awards 2026 as Favorite Couple. “We know firsthand how much demand there is for authentic content featuring women who love women,” the couple stated. “We’re thrilled to welcome PornHub Sapphic and be part of bringing it to the sapphic community.”
Although many men watch lesbian content, PornHub Sapphic was designed and curated specifically for women themselves.
